Band recruitment is geared toward 4th-5th graders. This happens in three phases:

Phase one - Presentation where we talk about the instruments as well as the band experience​​​. Here is the Demonstration Video!

Phase two - Choosing! The choice is yours and if you know what instrument you want to play, feel free to register. However, if you need help, we're here! Please contact the UP Music office for a consultation.

Mr. Portillo is back!

Mr. Portillo was the Band Director at St. Walter from 2008-2017 and again 2019-present.
-
Mr. Portillo believes in the value of teaching music and leans heavily on appreciating music through laughter and mastering music through hard "fun" work.
