Welcome to the SJC page! This page will have a few purposes but will mostly be used to host different pieces of related information.

Registration opens August 6th!
Band Demonstration (4th-5th grade) - September 1st during school day.
Band Pairing Optional (4th-5th grade) - September 2nd after school and by appointment only.
Band, Piano, and Ukulele begin the week of September 14th.

Band is a great musical experience offered to all 4th-8th grade students.
Every band student will receive one group lesson and one rehearsal/open guided practice per week.

Piano (K-3rd)/Ukulele (2nd-3rd) is a great musical experience.
Every piano/ukulele student will receive one group lesson per week (Maximum of 8 students per class).

Mr. Portillo is back!
Mr. Portillo was the Band Director at SJC from 2008-2017 and again 2019-present.
Mr. Portillo believes in the value of teaching music and leans heavily on appreciating music through laughter and mastering music through hard "fun" work.
