Hello! My name is Ronald Ralon, and I’m one of the instructors at UP Music. I’m looking forward to helping your students explore and discover their own love for music!
What was your first experience in music?
My first experience with music was when I was nine years old and at church when the group of worship was practicing and the drummer wasn’t there so I went to go play on the drums and just follow along to how it felt right and since then I’ve enjoyed being able to play.
What instruments do you play, and which one is your primary expertise?
I have basic playing skills on a Symphonic Band instruments, Piano, Ukulele, Electric Bass, and Drum Set and Orchestra Instruments, but my primary instrument is the Trumpet.
Have you performed professionally or collaborated with any notable musicians or ensembles?
I never envisioned myself performing professionally so I have not been with any known musicians or ensembles apart from church worship.
Can you share any success stories or testimonials from your previous students?
I have had students that are intimidated by their lack of skills in comparison to their classmates but with encouragement and hard work we’ve been able to raise the level of ability and to overcome the feeling of insecurity.
If money was no option, what dream vacation would you go on?
I’ve always been fascinated by natural wonders of the world so I would love to go to places like the rainforest, the deep parts of the sea, Antarctica, Jungle areas, just places where humanity has left alone and nature has thrived.
What do you do when you’re not teaching?
I spend a lot of time doing stuff for my church, also spend time with my son and wife, and finding new things to do with my cricut, a brand of arts and crafts machine.
