  • Band, Piano, and Ukulele begin the week of September 16th

Band

  • Band is a great musical experience offered to all 4th-8th grade students.

  • Every band student will receive one half hour group lesson of similar/like instruments.

Recruitment

  • Band recruitment is geared toward 4th-5th graders. This happens in three phases:

    • Phase one - Presentation where we talk about the instruments as well as the band experience​​​

    • Phase two - Pairing. This is where the student will have the opportunity to play the instrument and see which one is best for them.

      • Please wait until September 4th to register any Beginning Band students. ​​​

Ukulele

  • Ukulele is a great musical experienced offered to second through third grade students. 

  • Every Ukulele student will receive one group, half hour lesson per week (Maximum of 8 students per class).

  • Lesson schedules will be displayed at your request.

Piano

  • Every piano student will receive one group, half hour lesson per week. (Maximum of 8 students per class).

  • Mr. Portillo has been a band director for over 10 years

  • Mr. Portillo believes in the value of teaching music and leans heavily on appreciating music through laughter and mastering music through hard "fun" work.
