Band is a great musical experience offered to all 4th-8th grade students.

Every band student will receive one half hour group lesson of similar/like instruments.

Band recruitment is geared toward 4th-5th graders. This happens in three phases:

Phase one - Presentation where we talk about the instruments as well as the band experience​​​.

Ukulele is a great musical experience offered to second through third grade students.

Every Ukulele student will receive one group, half hour lesson per week (Maximum of 8 students per class).

Mr. Portillo is excited to bring his experience and charisma to Immanuel!

Mr. Portillo has been a band director and musician for over 15 years.

Mr. Portillo believes in the value of teaching music and leans heavily on appreciating music through laughter and mastering music through hard "fun" work.
